My name is Patrick Ivers, I’m 19 years old and I’ve been flying for 4 years while earning my private pilot’s license. I’m also working on completing senior project- which is where you come in. I’m so passionate about flying that I want to introduce some other kids to the experience so I’ve arranged for a morning of flight introduction/flying for some kids from Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Colorado who want to learn about, and experience flying.
On Saturday, April 18, you and your “Big Brother or Sister” are invited to the Second Annual “Wings for a Day” where you’ll hear from private and professional pilots about what it takes to become a pilot. After meeting these pilots, you’ll get the chance to fly in the cockpit of a private plane. You’ll have about a 30-minute flight where you’ll even do a little flying yourself. After your flight, we hope you stick around and share your experience while we serve you and your “Big” lunch.
My hope is that you’ll have a great day and maybe even be inspired to earn your own wings and pursue a career in aviation like me
I have room for 12 youth between the ages of 14-17.
It’s on a first come first serve basis, so contact me and sign up now!
